Not There Ring

"I simply am not there." It's a statement that encapsulates the existential void that resides within me, Patrick Bateman. It's an admission of the disconnect I feel from my own self, from the concept of an authentic identity. Deep down, I sense the hollowness, the absence of a genuine core.  It's an acknowledgment that I lack a genuine sense of presence, of true connection to the world around me. I am a shape-shifter, an illusion, a vessel devoid of a tangible essence. This admission both troubles and liberates me, for it reveals the fundamental emptiness at the core of my being.
